Nurse CEUs For Nurses

A holistic nurse is a healthcare professional who integrates Eastern and Western medicine to provide the highest level of patient care. They practice preventative health care and wellness education, and believe that health encompasses not just physical health, but also emotional and spiritual well-being. Holistic nurses provide a high level of holistic care for their patients, and help them achieve a full spectrum of health. Holistic nurses may be required to have additional training or certification for certain types of therapeutic treatments.

A holistic nurse focuses on the whole person and does not treat specific symptoms, but also focuses on the lifestyle of the patient. A holistic nurse may prescribe medicines based on their assessment of a patient’s overall well-being. Other methods may include dietary changes, stress relief exercises, or other lifestyle changes. Holistic nurses also examine patients’ lives for emotional and physical imbalances. A holistic nurse is committed to developing a holistic mindset and embracing it as a part of her work.

A holistic nurse CEUS can also be earned through research and publications. Scholarly posters may be presented at conferences, health care facilities, or educational settings. Posters are worth one EC each for the presentation and preparation, and are only permitted once every five years. Courses for holistic integrative nursing are included in the 30-EC curriculum development. Book chapters and journal articles also qualify for CEUS. Those who write a book chapter receive 15 EC.

Holistic nursing education may include various modalities, holistic practices, and studies related to self-care. Some courses may focus on medical topics, but they are not accepted for CEUS credits unless they are specifically related. A holistic nurse CEUS must be approved by a recognized entity, and specific written documentation must accompany any audited hours. So what is a holistic nurse CEUS? Here are some of the benefits of holistic nursing education:

AHNCC recommends reviewing several primary resources, including the Core Practice Competencies in Holistic Nursing and the Scope and Standards of Holistic Nurse CEUs Practice. A holistic nurse with this certification can be considered an expert in their field. Additionally, certification can improve a holistic nurse’s prospects for specific positions, including those in the medical field. It may even be essential for a position to be listed as requiring holistic nurses. For more information, contact the AHNCC.

Some holistic nursing certificate programs may be offered by organizations such as AHNA or AACN. AHNA offers a certification examination for holistic nurses, and graduates will be capable of incorporating this new knowledge into their practice. Additionally, they will embody therapeutic presence and practice person-centered care. A holistic nurse certification program will be approved by AHNA and include 30 hours of continuing education for nurses. In addition, CNE programs must contain at least two modules and be aligned with the Standards of Practice for Holistic Nursing.
