1. Start your following with your followers outside of Twitter

What the heck do I mean when I say “Your followers off Twitter”? Let me explain…

First of all, As a marketer, you need to be serious about building lists. Your list is your most important asset; without it, you have no business.

The first thing to do is use an autoresponder service so that you can start building a list.

When you capture your subscribers’ details, they’re added to your list in your autoresponder account so you can send them messages and build relationships with them.

So what does this have to do with Twitter?

Now that you start getting followers on Twitter, you need to harness the power of viral marketing that comes with this social networking site and increase your following.

If you tweet about interesting, funny, empowering, educational and engaging updates, then your followers will share with their followers, then they will share with their followers and it will go on and on.
