New Anti-Aging Supplement – LRT (Lipid Replacement Therapy)

Lipid Replacement Therapy, known as LRT, focuses on the action of phosphatidylcholine in the body. Phosphatidylcholine or “PC” is now used as an intravenous boost in patients with blocked arteries as it has been shown to emulsify calcium deposits.

There are two other forms of PC. One is a liquid mixed with juice made by BioPure and the other is NT Factor, an oral supplement. Biopure is very expensive. NT Factor is relatively inexpensive. The BioPure product is grade IV phosphatidylcholine, while NT Factor provides a broader range of polyunsaturated phosphatidyl nutrients than just choline and are called phosphoglycolipids. Phosphoglycolipids are validated in various medical journals to match the lipids of human cell membranes. This combination is partly what allows the oral supplement to work.

Phosphoglycolipids restore vitality by repairing cell membranes. You convert food and air into chemical energy inside cell membranes for better energy. But also, as we age, we produce a lot of free radicals from unrepaired membranes. In fact, this is what is believed to drive the aging process. Phosphoglycolipids greatly reduce that.

Phosphoglycolipids can insert into cells and other biomembranes and thus replace oxidized lipids in these membranes. Among the various pieces of information in clinical trials, it was shown that phosphoglycolipids could return membrane potential values in an elderly population (mean age 69.5 years) to better levels than a healthy young adult population (mean age 29 years). ). Furthermore, these improved values were maintained while the participants continued, without increasing the daily dose, consuming phosphoglycolipids.

What does the expression “membrane potential” mean? It refers to the electrical activity of the inner membrane of the mitochondria. Low potential translates to reduced energy and increased amounts of free radicals produced by your own body, as well as reduced biosynthesis of new proteins and enzymes, and in fact a reduction in all cellular functions.

The easy way to see the membrane potential is as the on switch of metabolism. The inner membrane of the mitochondria is where food, oxygen, and water are converted into energy and where aerobic metabolism takes place.

Right up against the inner membrane is the mitochondrial DNA, making it especially vulnerable to increases in endogenous free radicals (typically called reactive oxidative species, ROS, or reactive oxygen metabolites, ROM). MitoDNA damage is implicated in all chronic diseases. This happens because the membrane becomes like Swiss cheese. Unrepaired oxidation leaves holes in the membrane where free radicals escape instead of being quenched by enzymes like glutathione, SOD, catalysts, etc.

Repairing and maintaining cell membranes with phosphoglycolipids allows the body to use food and oxygen to its fullest and increases elimination. The flow of nutrients and everything else going in and out of cells becomes easier as the membrane becomes healthier and more efficient. That’s why so many feel like they’ve been given a new lease on life: increased energy and mental clarity, less aches and pains, waking up refreshed and ready to go.

LRT is very new. It’s hard to find much information about it. Some testing is going on at the moment, so more information will be available in the near future. LRT is also combined with vitamin B in the next generation of anti-aging products. Phosphoglycolipids have shown their ability to start affecting membrane function almost immediately and within 8 weeks has moved membrane potential in adults to levels normal for people half their age.
