A fingerprint attendance system will improve your business productivity

By admin Jun1,2021

In today’s business world, managing the workforce is time-consuming and expensive. Payroll management and time management account for around 50% of the budget of these companies. To reduce these costs, corporations generally cut their employees’ salaries and are also forced to layoffs to maintain and increase their return on investment. Others try to increase employees’ normal office hours to meet their goals on time. This could lead to worker resentment. To avoid all these failures in time control and payroll processing, companies are now adopting a biometric fingerprint attendance scanning system.

Manual payroll processing methods are often tedious and time consuming. Time keeping is a major headache for managers as there are proxies and time theft by workers, costing the organization millions of dollars. This is something that no organization can afford if it is to survive in this competitive market. Biometric scanners can record the time of entry and exit of employees and there can be no theft of time since the scanners work with fingerprints and these cannot be duplicated. These scanning machines are highly accurate and along with time tracking, they also record lunch hours, meal breaks, the department the employee works in, the type of work being done, and many more.

At the end of the month, manual payroll processing can take almost a day or two, depending on the size of the organization. Whereas in the case of biometric technology, all the time, the details of the job and the license are transferred directly to the system and all the work is completed in about 20 minutes. So no more collecting employee time cards. Also, there is the possibility of error when doing things manually, but all employee data is automatically stored and sent electronically for processing. This leads to increased productivity, cost reduction and time savings.

Many experts believe that biometric technology is the future, as it will eliminate sharing entirely. Employees no longer have to roam around with passwords and exchange cards, as biometric scanning uses human traits like fingerprint scanning and retinal scanning, which are unique to each individual and cannot be duplicated. So no more proxies and time errors, as the fingerprint scan cannot be tampered with, saving a lot of money for the company.

Many are misled that there could be some privacy issues as fingerprint images can be hacked and then can be used for various malpractices thus violating people’s privacy, but it actually improves anyone’s privacy as the Fingerprint images are not stored these fingerprint images are converted into coded binary data that cannot be inferred in any way.

Therefore, fingerprint scanning is the employee authentication process of the future, as no one will exchange, share, or steal time or credentials. This ease of use, accuracy, and payroll cost savings will increase the productivity of any organization.
