A building inspection is an examination of the current condition of a home. It is often done in connection with the sale or purchase of that home. It is usually carried out by a person known as a property inspector who has the proper training and certifications to perform such inspections. The home inspector describes the condition of the property as it is and does not guarantee the future condition of the property. The inspector then generally presents his findings to the client in the form of a written report that helps the buyer or seller improve the condition of the building and estimate the cost that would be required to do so.

The Home Inspector will only help you to know the current situation of the property and will not determine the value of the property. There are several professional associations that provide training, guidance, and various opportunities to property inspectors. There is also a similar but more complicated form of inspection of commercial buildings called a property condition assessment in which the inspector identifies a solution to the problem encountered and also the result of the solution.

There are different types of inspection in total such as home buyer inspection, home seller inspection, foreclosure inspection, four point inspection, disaster inspection, preshipment inspection, structural inspection, 11th month inspection.
The most common inspection is the home buyer’s inspection and the home seller’s inspection. A home buyer’s inspection is one in which people who buy the property hire an inspector to help detect major defects and other major property-related issues so that buyers can make a decision on the total cost of repairs and the condition of the building.

A home seller’s inspection is one in which the homeowner selling the property hires an inspector to find out the major defects related to the property. The seller, in this case, can use this report to make necessary repairs that can encourage a quick sale, as it is generally considered that people buy houses that are in good condition or the seller can share this information with the potential buyer.

Becoming a Property Inspector requires you to review and assess the condition of a property. Property inspectors examine the structural aspects of the building along with plumbing, electrical, heating, and other systems. Most of these inspectors are self-employed, but some also work for the local government.
