1. EAT A SNACK BEFORE TRAINING

Eating a snack 90 minutes before exercising will allow you to maintain your energy levels longer, allowing you to use more calories. Try a low carb protein bar. Try to leave at least a 90-minute gap between eating and exercising, because if you don’t, you may not be able to train as long as you’d like.

2. USE YOUR NOSE TO BREATHE

Instead of breathing through your mouth, try breathing through your nose. This method helps stabilize your heart rate and increase your stamina. The longer you can train, the more calories you’ll use. Breathing through your nose while exercising may seem strange the first time, but after a few sessions, it will become much easier.

3. VARY THE WORKOUTS

By doing the same activity every time you train, your body will get used to it. Once your body adjusts, you’ll burn fewer calories. Try and vary your workouts from day to day to keep your body working and burning calories at its peak.

4. TRY INTERVAL TRAINING

This can be adapted for jogging, biking, swimming, etc. As you get better, you will be able to stay in the higher speeds for longer while slowing down to the lower speeds until you are doing the entire workout at top speed.

5. USE A LITTLE WEIGHT

Everyone knows that the more muscle you have, the more calories your body will use, even when you’re asleep. The easiest way is to use small dumbbells to start with and walk for 30 minutes with one in each hand, swinging your arms as you walk. Or climb stairs using the same technique. This will help build muscle tone which in turn will help burn more calories.
