Gymnastics in the office: recreational behavior behind the desk keeps you in shape

By admin Jan9,2023

Workout at the office starts my day as I flick through email on the treadmill. It’s so much easier to read the complaints when I snap out of my anxiety in the morning. My hand mouse directs them directly to the circular file as I wander through Mississippi Gardens or Cat Skills.

Back to the jobs in question?

Those without technical design work can do it on the treadmill. I love working walking. I yay I feel good going out and doing a job at the same time.

Then there are the ones that require sitting at my desk. But even that is not as idle as you might think. With a foot massager under my desk, my feet move endlessly over the molded surface of the massage tool. The constant movement and buzz keep me humming.

Then there are the fun weights that sit next to my desk. Color coordinated for style and function, I take the three pound weight for a quick exercise in three concepts, while using my mouse to navigate a layout. Or save them for a period of time to write.

The wrist and ankle weights are almost constant as I move around the office doing all the usual tasks, I have noticed a huge difference in resistance since using them. I used to get tired faster, but it seems that by adding the weights and working with them on my arms and legs for a while, the benefit comes with an extra boost of energy when I take them off.

Phone time, unless I have to take notes, is often spent standing on the jumper, wiggling my toes and feet just enough to keep me jumping along with the conversation. It’s easy to work out that way, and I get the added benefit of having those phone conversations.
