What about Ragnarok Online RPG?

ragnarok online

Ragnarok Online or often called RO, was produced by Gravity Co. Ltd. It is a massively multiplayer online game that originated from Le Myoung-Jin’s Ragnarok manga and was first released on August 31, 2002 in South Korea for Microsoft Windows. The game is based on Norse mythology, which means “Fate of the Gods”, a final war between various forces, followed by the devastation of the world and its rebirth. His style of play focuses on Christianity and encompasses some of the Asian cultures. It is a community-driven game where the game’s job system helps define the community. Another thing is that you need to buy charges (which come in different denominations) to continue playing this RPG. However, despite the fact that it is not the largest monthly paid multiplayer online role-playing game, it still shows its total players numbering at an estimated 25 million worldwide, which seems to be larger than Warcraft. . This game had greatly affected the world of online gaming. It brought several ideas that were eventually used by other online games.

To begin with, one must create an account where they are free to choose the gender that can be identified by choosing the hair style and hair color of the character. By doing so, you are also forced to choose the server where your character will move. Four servers are currently working on the International Ragnarok Online game namely Loki, Iris, Chaos and Sakray test servers. As for the tools to use, both a mouse and a keyboard are required. The screen consists of a minimap, various menus, a status window that shows the progress of leveling up and the amount of money the character has, and a chat bar below the window to allow players around the world (of the same servers) communicate with each other. The communication can be public or a private chat. The menus also include a window for items owned by characters, as well as their equipment.

Ragnarok Jobs

There are 41 different jobs used in RO. These jobs are divided into different categories and the player himself has the authority to choose the job he wants his character to represent. These are the following:

1) The Novice.

This is the basic class which is very much a mere tutorial class to ease players into the real feel of the game. At this stage, the character is required to level up to gain other skills besides the basic skills that this character possesses. Every time the novice levels up, his functional abilities also increase. When these basic skills reach level 9, you are now eligible to change jobs. This is an opportunity for players to choose the job they want for their character, unless they want to stay that way forever or intend to go Super Rookie.

2) Swordsman.

These are the defenders of Ragnarok Online. They are the strongest physical attackers among the early jobs. They use their strength to defeat monsters and enemies. The skills of this job focus on increasing the character’s physical attack power to withstand more damage. When one reaches level 45, they can now switch jobs and become a Knight or Crusader outside of this class.

3) Wizard/Wizard.

Wizards or wizards are considered weak in combat. They use the power of the elements behind them and use nature to defeat their enemies. This class mainly relies on their intelligence to cast strong spells to make up for the battle. They are most effective in groups with other jobs that are more suited to close combat. By continuing this work, one can become a Magician or a Sage.

4) Acolyte.

They are the healers of Ragnarok. They dedicate their lives to following their faith and use this willingness to heal and bless other characters. They implement both the white mage, which focuses entirely on support magic, and a cleric archetype, which focuses primarily on combat implications. This character needs a large party to level up. After leveling up, one can be a supportive priest or a physically attacking monk.

5) archer

These are simple ranged attackers who use their bow skills to shoot at their enemies. They lack affinity and require a lot of dexterity to hit their targets for full damage. They can suffocate their enemies from a safe distance, far from harm. Skills here focus on increasing the speed of the character’s attacks or allowing the character to land multiple hits simultaneously. One can become a Hunter or Bard outside of this class after leveling up.

6) Merchant.

These characters control the economy of the RO, as they can take advantage of store discounts and can change the buying or selling prices of NPC stores. They also have the ability to sell any item they want to sell, allowing them to make a profit as they can purchase items at a reduced price. They also have some physical attack power, popularly the Mammonite attack ability which can deal additional damage which can be done by using zeny. After this first job, you can become a blacksmith or an alchemist.

7) Thief.

Thief archetypes excel in their speed, to dodge their enemies and hit them multiple times as quickly as possible, without getting hit by their enemies. They rely on their ability to dodge attacks to stay alive, as most enemies cannot touch them because they have the highest possible runaway rate. They are usually not the main attackers in groups, as they are not as physically strong, compared to swordsmen. You can become a rogue or an assassin after this job.

8) Super Rookie.

A super rookie is a special character class that retains most of the rookie characteristics of the class. But apart from their skill, these characters can learn almost all the accompanying skills of the other first job classes, with the exception of handling weapons which novices are not capable of. The downside in some ways is its inability to transcend. However, the good thing is that this character can get more skill points than any other first class or job character. It also allows for a great deal of flexibility on the part of the player in which skills they choose to learn, that is if they hit the maximum job level of 99%. This job requires a base level of 45 before getting the Super Rookie job.

pvp

PvP or Player versus Player is something of a hub in RO games. Here, there is a place where players of different levels and jobs fight each other. Here you can hit and throw powers at each other. Some say that it can test one’s ultimate strength to stand and fight with other characters. However, there is a prescribed level of work before a character can join the PvP room.

Empire War

War of the Emperium, shortened to WoE, is popularly known as Guild War among gamers all over the world. This is done for two hours any day of the week, depending on the server. During this time, the maps are set to PvP modes, but somehow there are exceptions. The Seal of Approval ability can allow guilds to try, enter, and take control of castles available in the game. An Emperium is placed on the fourth floor of each castle and if a guild breaks another guild’s Emperium, then that guild now owns the castle. This breaking of Emperiums continues until the guild wars time runs out. The guild that has kept control of the castle until the end of time will keep its control of the castle until the next WoE takes place. This gives them access to various benefits, such as entering Guild Dungeons, which can give members an absolute head start in gaining experience and obtaining rare items. This is said to be the most exciting part of the RO game and almost everyone participates in this activity every week.

This online game has been established in all the places of the world. It greatly caught everyone’s attention, especially those who are addicted to online games. According to a fan of RO, this is due to the fact that they can feel that they are really in the world of Ragnarok and that they are the ones who personally fight with the enemies or monsters. They just put their hearts and souls into the game, that’s why.
