The Koi-San People of Namibia – Real Life as God Intended

By admin Dec19,2022

I love the koi-san people of the Kalahari desert in Namibia and Botswana in Africa. They live nomadic lives, but not random nomads; each clan has an established pattern that is repeated each year, whereby they live in specific areas, one dedicated for each season of the year.

They do not make war on anyone and strongly believe that they should treat all people, animals, plants, the Earth and all life with kindness and respect; according to God’s instructions. This reminds me of one of the Usui Reiki Daily promises: “Today I will be kind and love all living creatures.”

The belief of the Koi San people is that Mother Nature should be given enough time, around a year, to fully recover after having lived in an area for a season. At the end of each season they move to another area, where they had lived the previous year, and to which they will return after each year. They thank Mother Nature with gratitude and meaning every time they eat and drink something. When they kill an antelope or any wild animal, they pray, asking Mother Nature to forgive them, to assure them that this was not done for sport or with intent to be cruel of any kind, but specifically to eat or make clothes. or clothes. utensils They then bless the animal and Mother Nature before skinning, eating and using it.

As these people live in the Namib desert, they continually search for roots and always thank Mother Nature for the roots they find to eat and for the water they extract from these roots.

In the series ‘The Secret’, the presenters strongly urge us to have an “attitude of gratitude” for what we already have. Could we improve the attitude of gratitude towards life, towards God and towards the Earth of this Koi-San people? Or do 99% of us take everything nature gives us for granted, assuming the supply will just continue? Some of us know it won’t, as the ground becomes increasingly barren and the water supply becomes more poisoned and even completely depleted in some areas of Earth.

Ever since I found out about these people’s attitude to life, when I eat anything, I make it a point to thank God and Mother Nature for it. I marvel at the wonder of its perfection and how it is a gift from nature to feed and sustain me. One life, one energy and one creation.

See what I mean? We are all part of one creation, made of one energy and created by the great One God. The people of Hoi-San live the most beautiful lives of any on Earth; and they live in the Namib desert, where conditions are extreme, they certainly would be for most of us westerners. They have lived there for thousands of years. Unfortunately, the Botswana government recently rounded them up and put them in camps because the government wanted to use their land. They vigorously opposed this with the help of some legal experts, and have had a considerable part of their naturally inherited land returned to them, where many of them continue to live in the traditional way.

His love and respect for nature, indeed for all of life, is phenomenal. I often wonder if this is not the kind of lifestyle intended by God for all mankind. But we Westerners have totally moved away from that, living the unnatural lives we live in towns and cities, doing what we do for entertainment and lavishing ourselves on the lavish lifestyles of our choosing. We may believe that we have advanced in many ways in industry and technology, but we must also remember that we have wrecked our planet and our hemisphere in the process. Is this evolution or return? I think it’s the latter.

Hopefully these thoughts will inspire you to a higher consciousness whereby you can inspire humanity to an even higher revelation of truth. I would be very happy to communicate with everyone who feels inspired by this article.

Peace, harmony and love to all of you – Shalom.
