The Rich Jerk – A Study on Anti-Marketing

By admin Aug12,2021

I’ve always been fascinated by “anti-marketing” and how powerful its effect can be if done right, so when I came across The Rich Jerk’s sales newsletter, I was immediately intrigued.

I admit, I’m one of those people who * never * reads a sales newsletter when I’m considering buying something (I read them when researching techniques, but that’s another story), but from the moment I read the headline for The Rich Jerk, I couldn’t help reading everything. Sure, in the back of my brain, I was telling myself that I was only reading it from a research perspective and that I had no intention of buying the book. However, when I was in the middle of the sales newsletter, I absolutely HAD to buy the e-book. Even if it was the same old stuff repeated, this guy deserved my money just for the education (and entertainment!) I got from his sales newsletter. My point here is that anti-marketing works great if done right, and The Rich Jerk has done it extremely well.

However, after reading the book, I am pleasantly surprised! In fact, The Rich Jerk contains information that will help you earn more money online …

His writing style is easy to follow and perfectly understandable if you’ve been on the internet for a short time, but it’s definitely not for complete beginners (for example, it doesn’t walk you through registering a domain name). or get web hosting) – If you think you need some help, this ebook is not for you.

The first chapter, titled “Building an Affiliate Website That Sells Like Crazy,” is about building affiliate websites to earn commissions on the sales of other people’s products. It begins by listing 13 affiliate sites and classifies them as “must join,” “maybe join,” and “join if. [you are] boring. “Once you’ve selected a product to sell, he goes through six specific writing strategies to use on your affiliate site to hook the reader into clicking your affiliate link. Then, he gives you a full sample of “sales letter” (it’s more like an article) with all your strategies in place.

The third section in chapter one is about offering rebates to your customers, but it’s not just the old “buy me and I’ll give you back part of my affiliate fee.” Rich Jerk delves into specific ways to make refunds that will increase your bottom line rather than simply offering a refund.

In the final section of chapter one, Rich Jerk writes about creating pay-per-lead sites, where you get paid roughly $ 10 for each person who provides your information (which is then passed on to a company that pays you for leadership) . I found this section to be a bit light on content, although there is enough to convey your point of view. I think this is a technique that has not been thoroughly explored by any of the major internet marketing channels and that it deserves further investigation.
