WoW Fast Leveling: Leveling an Alt Using Relics

By admin Jul22,2021

If you haven’t already, when you hit level 80, if you like WoW’s quick leveling, you might want to consider building an alternative. There are many reasons why players choose to level up to a second, third, or even fourth character.

The extra bench space is always a bonus.

That’s just for starters, then there’s the perk of having different types of characters, for example having one as a tank and one as a healer to help give you more play opportunities for the final game content.

Having another character also allows you to take on 2 other main professions, when you are leveling up quickly in WoW this can benefit all of your characters. So you can make one character strictly money collector, or have one make weapons and another make armor.

WoW Quick Leveling – The downside of leveling an Alt.

The biggest drawback to leveling an alt is, well, leveling. Let’s face it, starting over in the rookie zone and spending an hour killing level 2 and 3 monsters is not much fun for a player who is used to running Naxx and Ulduar with their guild. So if you are looking to level up quickly, you should definitely take a second look at the relics.

WoW Quick Leveling Relics.

What makes Heirlooms unique is that they align with your character. So don’t be surprised when those stats you saw with your level 80 character drastically degrade when you send it to your level 10 alt. As your levels alternate, so will the Heirloom element, keeping you at an appropriate level for the character.

Why this is useful.

Think about when you leveled up your first character. As he leveled up, he was forced to acquire new armor and weapons to be effective against the mobs he was fighting with. This required you to complete quests, run instances, or visit the Auction House unless you could create your own items.

This takes time and money.

Since a relic item is leveled with the character, it does not need to be replaced until it reaches the maximum level. So you can use it from level 1 to level 80 without missing a beat. Additionally, many relics have the advantage of adding 10% experience for your kills, allowing you to level up through low-level content much faster.

Another good thing is that they degrade automatically, so if you have a hunter, you will still want to go for mail armor. Before level 40, the armor will acquire a leather rating and then switch to mail once that skill has been learned.

Relic items can also be upgraded with any of the pre-Burning Crusade items such as lower tier armor kits and enchantments. Please note that Relics are not designed to replace the “best” items in the game, ie “twink” gear. So if you are planning to create a character for the battlefields, you will still need to make some investments in better armor and weapons to make it effective. However, if your main goal is to level up WoW fast, then Heirlooms will do the trick.
